Ladera Panama Caturra coffee — single-origin, Volcán Barú, Panama

Caturra

(Washed & Natural)

Roasted weekly · fresh batches

The coffee
Caturra is a classic Arabica variety, well suited to high altitudes and careful processing. Grown on the volcanic slopes of Volcán Barú, it develops a clear structure and dependable sweetness.

Taste — Washed
The washed lot presents a smooth and balanced profile, centered around notes of milk chocolate, nougat, and roasted hazelnut.
Acidity is low and well integrated, allowing chocolate and nut tones to define the cup with clarity and consistency.

Taste — Natural
The natural lot is sweet and silky, with a vibrant aromatic profile. Notes of green apple and watermelon bring brightness and freshness, while delicate hints of jasmine and lemongrass add lift and clarity.
The sweetness is pronounced yet refined, supported by a smooth, rounded texture that enhances the fruit without overwhelming the cup. The finish remains clean and expressive, with lingering floral and fresh-fruit nuances.
The natural lot received a score of 87.38 points at the Best of Panama, highlighting its sweetness, texture, and depth.

Processing & roast
Both lots are processed separately to preserve their distinct character. Roasted in Germany to emphasize balance, sweetness, and clarity rather than intensity.
